Rosie Dixon - Night Nurse

It's fun to be in bed with a nurse like Rosie!! After watching a TV soap opera, Rosie Dixon (Debbie Ash) becomes starry-eyed about nursing and leaves mum (LIZ FRAZER), Dad (JOHN JUNKIN) and precocious sister Natalie (LESLIE ASH) to become a student nurse at Queen Adelaide's Hospital. Rosie soon finds that "things get on top of her" when she shares a room with Penny Green (CAROLINE ARGYLE), a man-mad upper-class raver. Matron (BERYL REID) and long-suffering senior consultant Sir Archibald MacGregor (JOHN LE MESURIER) preside over the wards of lecherous patients and boisterous bed-hopping young doctors determined to find out just how much Rosie and Penny are willing to give to be crowned Rag Queen. Rosie learns to grapple with the old Mr. Arkwright (ARTHUR ASKEY) who can't keep his hands on his wheelchair, Mr. Buchanan (BOB TODD) who is more intrested in staying in hospital than going home to his wife, and TV star Jake Fletcher (LANCE PERCIVAL) who has a 14-inch problem! Young Rosie's sexploits amongst the medial profession make hilarious viewing with some marvellous performances from a host of British comedy stars. © Columbia Pictures
