The Amazing Spiderman in "Never Step on a Scorpion" J. Jonah Jameson, loud-mouthed publisher of "The Daily Bugle" is determined to expose SPIDER-MAN as a fraud. He develops an evil creature - The Giant Scorpion - to tackle the great SUPERHERO. But the Scorpion's strength and power run out of control - and only the Amazing SPIDER-MAN can stop it destroying its terrified creator. The Amazing Spiderman in "The Menace of Mysterio" "Mysterio", a wicked stunt -man disguises himself as SPIDER-MAN to rob a bank. He is seen escaping and soon the police are hunting for the innocent SUPERHERO. SPIDER-MAN sets out to clear his name and fights Mysterio at dawn on Brooklyn Bridge. SPIDER-MAN seems to have drowned, but survives and exposes the fiendish "Mysterio" in a termendous fight in an old-time western saloon. The Incredible Hulk in "The Terror of the Toadmen" In an attack upon Earth by the Toadmen, a hideous race led by evil Captain Torak, Dr Bruce Banner is kidnapped. But, as night falls Banner becomes THE INCREDIBLE HULK. He escapes the Toadmen. Panic grips the Earth as THE HULK runs amok and the Toadmen attack Only one man can save the world but will THE HULK turn back into Bruce Banner in time? Captain America in "The Sleeper Shall Awake" The evil Red Skull warns the 3 sleepers will awake to destroy the Earth. As CAPTAIN AMERICA dashes to the scene evil agents are already at work. The SUPERHERO is powerless as the first sleeper a giant robot joins the second - "Batwing". They soar into the sky to destroy all before them. Soon they join the most terrible sleeper of them all. Only CAPTAIN AMERICA can save the world. The Mighty Thor in "The Absorbing Man" In Asgard, at the end of Rainbow Bridge, Loki, God of Evil, plans to use a wizard's magic to destroy the MIGHTY THUNDERGOD THOR. He kidnaps the most evil man on Earth, and turns him into the Absorbing Man who can take-on the properties of everything he touches-fire, brick, steel. In a terrifying battle the fate of even THOR, THE MIGHTY THUNDERGOD loks sealed. The Sub Mariner in "To Conquer a Crown" In a crooked duel of strength for the throne, Bera the treacherous cousin of PRINCE NAMOR defeats the Mighty King of Atlantis. Bera makes a treaty with Barbarian Artuma and the evil warlord Krang to conquer the city. With all the city's inhabitants subdued by Bera's ultimate weapon, only Namor can save Atlantis.
